(b)Clip & Roll is operated by Catalyst Creative Pty Ltd trading as Clip & Roll. In this Cookies Policy, “Clip & Roll”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Catalyst Creative Pty Ltd.
(c)This Cookies Policy explains:
(i)the types of cookies and similar technologies we use;
(ii)why we use them;
(iii)how long they may remain on your device; and
(iv)how you can control them.
(d)This Cookies Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
(e)We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the technologies we use, our practices or applicable legal requirements, but any update will operate prospectively from its stated effective date.
(f)The current version and its effective date will be published on our website. If a material change affects how we use cookies or similar technologies in connection with an account, we will provide reasonable notice before the change takes effect and obtain consent where required by applicable law.

2  TYPES OF COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES WE USE

(a)A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer or device when you visit a website or use a web application. Cookies can be used for purposes such as keeping you signed in, remembering preferences and supporting the operation and security of a service.
(b)We currently use three strictly necessary first-party cookies in the Clip & Roll web application. These cookies are set when a user signs in or creates an account, are refreshed while the user remains signed in, and are used to authenticate the user, keep the user signed in and remember the user’s sign-in preference. The cookies are: mvp_token, which keeps the user signed in and expires after 1 hour; mvp_refresh_token, which renews the sign-in and remains for up to 30 days from the most recent refresh if “remember me” is selected, or otherwise until the browser closes; and mvp_remember, which remembers the user’s “remember me” choice and remains for up to 30 days from the most recent refresh unless removed earlier on logout. We do not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies or similar advertising trackers.
(c)We also use browser local storage for limited functional purposes within the Clip & Roll web application. Local storage is not a cookie and may be used for account information, team selection, screen layout and workspace preferences and other functionality described below. Local storage may also be used when a person accesses a shared Reel without an account.
(d)We currently use Vercel Speed Insights as a cookie-free performance monitoring tool to measure page load speed and service performance. Vercel Speed Insights does not use cookies or identify individual visitors. We may introduce analytics or performance cookies in the future, including through services such as Google Analytics, to help us understand how our Website and web application are used and improve their performance. Before introducing those cookies, we will update this Cookies Policy and, where required by applicable law, provide appropriate notice and obtain consent or offer a mechanism to accept or reject them.
(e)The table below describes the categories of cookies and similar technologies that we currently use or may introduce in the future.

Type

How we use it

Strictly Necessary Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Clip & Roll web application, including to authenticate users and keep them signed in securely. These cookies are required for the relevant features of the service to function and are not used for advertising or behavioural tracking.

Local Storage

We use browser local storage to retain limited information used by the web application, including your account id, email address, team and role, your active team selection, your clip mode preference, whether you have seen particular tips, and screen layout and workspace preferences, such as video player size, sidebar state and recently used Reels. This applies to anyone using the web application, including people viewing a shared Reel. During a password reset, our authentication provider may temporarily store a sign-in session in local storage, which is removed when the password reset completes successfully. If a reset is abandoned or fails, it may remain until you clear your browser data. Local storage is not used for advertising or behavioural tracking.

Analytics and Performance Technologies

We currently use Vercel Speed Insights as a cookie-free performance monitoring tool to measure page load speed and service performance. It does not use cookies or identify individual visitors. We do not currently use analytics or performance cookies. We may introduce analytics services, such as Google Analytics, in the future. If we introduce analytics or performance cookies, we will update this Cookies Policy before those cookies are introduced and provide any notice, consent mechanism or user choice required by applicable law.

3  CONSENT AND NON-ESSENTIAL COOKIES

(a)We currently use only the strictly necessary cookies described in this Cookies Policy. We also use the functional local storage and cookie-free performance monitoring described in this Cookies Policy. We do not use these technologies for advertising or behavioural tracking.
(b)If we introduce analytics, performance or other non-essential cookies or similar technologies in the future, we will provide information about those technologies and, where required by applicable law, obtain your consent or provide an appropriate mechanism for you to accept or reject them.
(c)Declining or withdrawing consent to non-essential cookies will not prevent us from using cookies or similar technologies that are reasonably necessary to operate, secure or provide the Website or Clip & Roll web application.

4  HOW LONG WILL COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE REMAIN ON MY DEVICE?

(a)The amount of time that information remains on your device depends on the technology used.
(b)Session cookies generally remain only for the duration of your browser session and are deleted when the session ends.
(c)Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or are deleted through your browser settings.
(d)Information stored in browser local storage may remain on your device until it is no longer needed for the purposes described in this Cookies Policy and is cleared by the website or web application, or until you clear your browser data or remove it through your browser settings.
(e)The duration of any analytics or performance cookies introduced in the future will depend on the relevant service and will be described in this Cookies Policy where appropriate.

5  THIRD-PARTY TOOLS, COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

(a)We do not currently use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
(b)We use Vercel Speed Insights on the Website and web application to measure page load speed and service performance. Vercel Speed Insights does not use cookies or identify individual visitors. We also use error and performance monitoring tools that do not set cookies on your device.
(c)Cloudflare Turnstile is used on the signup page for bot protection. Cloudflare Turnstile operates through third-party scripts and may process or store information in accordance with Cloudflare’s privacy practices.
(d)Senja is used on the Website homepage to display customer testimonials. Senja operates through third-party scripts and may process or store information in accordance with Senja’s privacy practices.
(e)Payments are processed through Stripe’s hosted checkout on stripe.com. Stripe does not set payment-processing cookies on the Website or Clip & Roll web application.
(f)We may introduce analytics services in the future, including Google Analytics. If a future analytics service uses non-essential cookies or similar technologies on the Website or web application, we will update this Cookies Policy before those technologies are introduced and provide any notice, consent mechanism or user choice required by applicable law.

6  HOW DO I CONTROL COOKIES?

(a)You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings, including by blocking cookies, deleting existing cookies or configuring your browser to notify you when a cookie is being used.
(b)You can also clear information stored in browser local storage through your browser settings.
(c)Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using some parts of the Clip & Roll web application correctly.
(d)Because we do not currently use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies, there are currently no advertising cookie preferences to manage through Clip & Roll.
(e)If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will provide any controls or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.
